To save you money on your electricity and gas bills iChoosr, on behalf of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, negotiates with the energy companies to ensure a safe, efficient switch.
- How do I register?
Just visit and complete the simple online form to take part in the scheme. Registration is open between Tuesday 10 April and 1 July 2018 for Stockton-on-Tees Borough Residents. (Residents outside of Stockton-on-Tees Borough are eligible to register until 21 May 2018).
It helps to have a recent energy bill handy when you register to make the process as easy as possible. It’s free to find out how much you can save and there is no obligation to switch.
- How do I get a good deal?
First step - sign up and register it’s free and without any obligation. The more customers that are signed up and registered to switch the more competitive the deal is likely to be. Your personalised offer will then be emailed to you to show you how much you could save. If you choose to accept this no obligation offer you will need to follow the online instructions to make the switch. There are significant savings to be made!
- I have a prepayment/key card meter – can I still take part?
Yes! If there are enough registrations from prepaid customers an offer will be made (you must not be more than £500 in debt to your current supplier) – the more people registering, the more competitive an offer will be made.
- I rent my house, can I take part?
Yes! To take part you must have an energy bill in your or your partner’s name.
- Can I register without a computer?
Yes, for free expert help with switching you can call Stockton District Advice and Information Service on 01642 633877. After the auction you will receive a letter informing you of the offer. If you choose to accept the offer you can return the signed acceptance letter to iChoosr in the envelope provided, it is really simple to switch this way.
- How many people can register from one email address?
You can register up to 5 people from one email address – so why not help out a relative or neighbour who does not have access to the internet or have an email address.
