Make a difference in your community

Stockton Advice Service is calling for new recruits to join their current volunteers, get a taste of working life and make a difference in the local community.

Last year, we relied on volunteers to help 8,200 people who had over 44,000 welfare enquiries mostly about money, benefits, housing and employment.

In a tough jobs market, getting relevant experience can be vital. Volunteering with us can offer opportunities to train as an adviser, get involved with campaigns and policy work or help with administration or work in fundraising and marketing.

We simply couldn't function without the time and dedication of our volunteers. As demand for our service continues to grow, we need more volunteers than ever to make sure that our clients get the help that they need.

Our volunteers are a real asset and they get a lot out of working with us too.

Volunteering can be a chance to pick up essential experience in teamwork, communication and information management plus skills for specific careers, and it's easy to fit around work, study and other commitments.

As well as boosting your CV, working with us gives you the chance to help make the lives of people in your local community better.

If you would like to get involved get in touch with Janine Browne on 01642 626121 or jbrowne@stockton-cab.co.uk
